Picks published on this site finished 39-31-2 versus the number during the 2017-18 regular season, for a 56% cover rate and a 5% return on investment. We were a perfect 3-0 in the post-season. We note though that this tally may not represent the full slate of our bets during this season. In the interest of time, we may have posted picks on Twitter without longer form write-ups on this site. However, it would be somewhere between very tedious and impossible to reconcile this effort from six years ago. We hope though this (after the fact) account offers a reasonable indication of the success of our efforts during the 2017-18 NFL season.
Our 23-15 (61%) ATS record taking points (in the regular season and playoffs combined) suggests we demonstrated a particular proficiency identifying undervalued pooches. Our plays backing our chalk-layer were an uninspiring 16-15.
In aggregate, we turned an 8% profit, which paled in comparison to the 11% September 2017 through February 2018 return the S&P 500 Index delivered. Thus, while positive, we deem our showing somewhat disappointing.
