No Reason to Trust the Falcons Vs. the Number: Backing the Broncos +4 -110
Our power rankings work suggests the Falcons are a mere 1-2 points better than the Broncos in week 9, after accounting for the "limited number of spectators" that will attend the event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Sunday. Thus, we regard a chance to take the road team at better than the key, three points, as compelling.
As broader, contextual support for the away team to beat the number Sunday, we have noted on several occasions now the pronounced trend on display this season of covers by teams taking points on the road. Road dogs have delivered a 13% return on investment so far this year, turning a profit every week since week 2.
While this propensity is certainly at odds with longer term history, we remarked weeks ago that the consistency of return suggests the tendency is nonetheless exploitable (...and so far, so good).
Other Active ATS Trends:
Broncos 5-2 ATS season-to-date,
Broncos 5-2 ATS as underdog,
Broncos 4-1 ATS outside AFC West,
Broncos 3-0 ATS away,
Falcons 3-5 ATS,
Falcons 0-4 ATS at home,
Falcons 0-4 as favorite,
Falcons 2-4 outside NFC South
Happy betting!!
