Six games on the week 12 NFL schedule are expected to be decided in winds of at least 10 mph. Of these three feature line that are at least in the vicinity of average. We are betting on disappointingly low scores in each, as history suggests such inclement conditions reduce offensive potential.
We detailed the impact of wind reasonably thoroughly in week 3. But to recap, 1) high winds tend to reduce scoring, 2) historically bookmakers have not adjusted betting totals to adequately account for this element and 3) even when the full game totals do adjust, first half totals still offered value to UNDER supporters in the past. As such, we are getting down on the UNDER for each of the three contests highlighted above.
