Short and sweet as we head to kickoff...
All factors in our suite of indicators point to value with the Colts. Of the two simulation routines we employ, one calls for Indy to pull out the win -- with Hasselbeck at the helm in place of Andrew Luck, while the other gives the Texans a 3 point edge over the impaired Colts. Of our power rankings-based measures, FPI likewise suggests Indianapolis should win outright, despite Luck being sidelined. And our interpretation of FiveThirtyEight's Elo Ratings make Houston to be better this evening by about 2.8 points [Elo Ratings do not consider injuries]. Another computer prediction model on our radar concurs, giving the Colts an ever so slight advantage versus the number.
Bottom line: We think Colts @ Texans marks yet another example of the public overreacting to personnel changes. Take the live dogs to cover on the road.
