Our computer simulation work calls for a final score of 98-105, Bulls when the 3-3 Orlando Magic visit the Chicago (also 3-3) this evening. As such, we are backing the OVER 199.
Though the Magic rank among the league's top ten teams by Opponents' True Shooting Percentage, Orlando has allowed better than 100 points in four of their six contests to date. Chicago, on the other hand, ranks 24th by Opponents' True Shooting Percentage, which might explain why the Bulls too have allowed triple digits in two-thirds of their six outs so far this year.
And while both teams rank in the bottom quintile by Possessions per Game, Orlando ranks 4th by Turnovers Committed. That the Magic give the ball away less than 26 NBA teams offsets their down tempo pace of play. Moreover, Chicago's porous defense is also likely to inflate Orlando's offensive output.
