Our four favorite computer simulation routines unanimously back the Pistons to cover versus the Magic this afternoon. Further, as our work forecasts a 98-103 final (Detroit), we are also backing OVER 195.5.
In support of our sim-based outlooks, consider that Detroit has covered in each of the last six meetings with the Magic, and are 7-3 versus the number in their last ten hosting Orlando. Further, the Pistons finished 19-9-1 against the line last year when laying points at home while the Magic went 15-19-1 versus the number when facing favored opposition.
The OVER is also riding a five game cover streak in head-to-head play between these teams. Also though, both teams exhibited modest biases toward the OVER last season from their respective present positions: the Pistons amassed an O/U record of 18-11 as home favorites, while the Magic's O/U finished 19-16 as road dogs.
