Our computer simulation work calls for a combined total score in the 141-144 zone when the dust finally settles in Green Bay this afternoon. Accordingly, we are betting UNDER 148.
Cleveland State's O/U record is 11-14-1 this season, and prior to exceeding the Vegas total at Milwaukee two days ago, the UNDER had cashed in after each of the preceding four Vikings contests.
Further, 149.5 represents the third highest total Cleveland State has seen this season (the UNDER prevailed in both isntances where the closing total exceeded this threshold).
Conversely, with a 16-8 O/U record, Green Bay has demonstrated a substantial bias in favor of the OVER this season, however, this penchant may be waning (at least temporarily). In the Phoenix's last five out, the UNDER collected three times. Further the UNDER is 2-1 in games where Green Bay was favored to win by double digits (the number for today's matchup is the Phoenix -12.5).
Of concern though, the OVER has triumphed in all but one of the nine Green Bay games where the Las Vegas total ranged between 140 and 150.
Regardless of the mixed messages from betting trends though, the strong signal emitted by our sim work compels us to back the UNDER.
