We expect the matchup between the Thunder and Nuggets Tuesday to finish light in the scoring department. Our work anticipates a combined total of 207-208, more than 4 points south of Las Vegas' number.
Specifically, we are looking for the Thunder's 5th-ranked defense (by Opponents' True Shooting Percentage) to confound the Nuggets' 25th-ranked offense. But Denver's down-tempo style of play likewise favors the UNDER (the Nuggets sort 19th by Possessions Per Game).
Per OKC's aggregate season-to-date O/U record of 15-27, the UNDER is roughly twice as likely to cash in as the OVER. Further, the Thunder are riding a four game UNDER streak currently. Our work says disappointment in the points colum of the box score will persist through tonight's contest. Accordingly, we are backing the UNDER.
