We are looking for a total in the 203-204 range when the final whistle sounds on the Bucks visit to the Thunder's Chesapeake Energy Arena this evening.
Since 2010, the UNDER is 6-4 in the head-to-head series between these teams, and 4-1 in the last five meetings. Additionally (and perhaps surprisingly), OKC is an UNDER machine, as the OVER has collected in just nine of the Thunder's 31 games to date.
Contests featuring Milwaukee, on the other hand, are more likely to exceed Vegas' scoring lines, as the Bucks O/U record is 18-14. However, the UNDER is 6-4 in Milwaukee games where the closing total is greater than 200, as is the case this evening.
Further, Oklahama City sports the fourth-best defense in the league (by Opponents' True Shooting Percentage). And the Thunder are commited to defensive rebounding, ranking fourth by this stat. These observations suggest that the Bucks' will be hard-pressed to manufacture points--especially considering that Milwaukee just battled Dallas in a losing effort last night (the UNDER is 4-3 in the second of back-to-back Bucks games, but it should be noted that the three OVERs materialized against the porous defenses of the Nets, Nuggets and Knicks).
