Last night, as 5 point underdogs, the #19 ranked Dallas Mavericks (per Jeff Sagarin Power Ratings) knocked off the #18 Phoenix Suns, 111-95. Dallas will continue their 3 game road trip tonight with a huge step-up in competition, as the #3 ranked Los Angeles Clippers are up next, at the Staples Center.
We expect a fiery game, after the DeAndre Jordan fiasco and all, but our work suggests that Dallas can hold Los Angeles' advantage to single digits. We make the Clips to be about 8 points superior to Dallas.

To our chagrin, Memphis laid an egg on offense last night, posting a league-low 76 points versus the Cleveland Cavaliers (last year, the Grizzlies were good for an average of about 98 points per game). We think Wednesday's stinker biased the the total line for tonight's game to the downside. Accordingly, we are happy to play OVER 190.
Per our multi-factor totals prediction routine, we are looking for an aggregate score in the 193 ballpark, much closer to these teams average productivity last season.
