Orlando Magic +6 (-118) at Miami Heat
The computer simulations we incorporate in our handicapping system point an extremely close game tonight when the Orlando Magic travel to the Miami Heat. Both machines we use see the Heat narrowly escaping with the 'W', albeit by the slimmest of margins. Per the computers, the difference tonight is the spread. At +6, betting on Orlando to cover offers the requisite 5+ point cushion we generally look for to compel us to take action.
Similarly, a power rankings-based approach driven by the statistics of TeamRankings.com (which we just adopted) makes the Magic 4.8 points better than the Heat this evening -- before considering the six points Magic backers receive. As such the Orlando +6 looks quite tempting.
Importantly, Chris Bosch is likely to return to the active roster for Miami this evening. While this data is not baked into our power rankings-based handicapping methodology, the computers did account for Bosch's return -- the message from the machines though is the same: play the Orlando Magic +6.
