Apr 4 NBA Action: Feasting on Home Dogs

Milwaukee -5 @ Philadelphia

Golden State -13 @ LA Lakers

Our 'Fading home dogs late' NBA betting system, which recommends betting against underdogs at home (ATS) from game 72 through the end of the season, notched another four wins Wednesday, with a Houston, Toronto, Charlotte and Utah all taking care of business, and only Philly disappointing at Atlanta.

On the season, this system is a stellar 24-15 ATS, for a year-to-date return on investment (ROI) of 20%, double the approach's long-term historical profitability. We see no reason to anticipate a reversion over the near-term, and are content to ride this trend until the wheels fall off (or until the regular season ends...whichever comes first).

Thursday's three-game NBA schedule features the Bucks at the Sixers and the Warriors at the Lakers. Consistent with indications from what has quickly become our 'go-to' late season handicapping system, we are backing the road favs in both instances.

Also favoring Milwaukee's bid to cover and lock up the number one spot in the East this evening, we note that the 76ers are 4-6 ATS in their last ten at Wells Fargo Center, and 3-9 ATS in the second of back-to-back games this year.

Separately, causing some anxiety regarding our play on the Warriors at Lakers, we note that at 4-10 ATS, the Warriors have been pretty terrible this season facing opposition from the Pacific Division. Meanwhile, quizzically, mach-ups against inter-division foes have essentially been the only spot where the Lakers have proven proficient versus the number this season (LA's 10-4 ATS record from this position is the exact inverse of Golden State's). But the Dubs definitely have the talent to collect the road cover this evening...the question relates to will.

Happy betting!!
