Nov 6 NBA Action: Milwaukee Bucks @ Portland Trail Blazers
Milwaukee Bucks -2 (-105) @ Portland Trail Blazers
We like Milwaukee for the road cover when the Bucks visit the Blazers this evening.
Since 2005, teams like the Blazers, that covered three of their last four out and that are on the fourth to sixth game of a home stand have been solid fades. Betting against such teams has generated an ROI of about 5%, on an ATS record of 185-160-8 (54%).
Importantly, the gains that accrue to this system tend to be strongest earlier in the season. Over our examination period, for instance, this set of rules is 85-56-1 ATS (60%), for an 18% ROI, during the first half of each season since 2005. Further, the ROI improves to 21% when we consider only the first quarter of each season.
Separately, road favs of no more than four points, on a one-game win streak in which the margin of victory was 20-30 points have generated a 19% ROI since 2005. The Bucks fit this bill tonight.
